How does a Plasma & a LCD TV light up the screen?
While the LCD televisions uses a back fluorescent light to provide the light source for your television the plasma television uses gas plasma cells to provide the picture and the color.
These tiny gas lights are placed in a random asymmetrical pattern. When the gas plasma cells are heated to a certain precise degree they produce a color. The color of the gas plasma cell will depend on the amount of heat that is being beamed on the gas lights. The different amounts will produce another type of color.
